Hard to find CSK Stainless washers at a reasonable price and a quick delivery. Would recommend.

I wanted to keep the hardware that will attach my propeller spinner, as flush to the surface of the spinner as possible. These do the job nicely when you use a countersink and flat heat screws.

I used these washers to better secure a large fiberglass spinner. I had to use the... SS MACHINE SCREW AN507C1032R10 which have slightly larger diameter than the ID of the washer. Drilling out the washer to accommodate the screw made a perfect fit.

Its a dimpled washer what can I say, it fits and spreads the load, works great with fiberglass fairings where you dont want to much load in one direction that might crack the fiberglass. The product is exactly what is says it is and set up for 100 degree flush bolts.

Fiberglass fittings & fairings are often attached to a plane with counter sunk flat head screws. But fiberglass is soft compared to metal, which will erode and enlarge the countersunk holes during the stress applied while flying. Brand name Tinnerman countersunk washers spread the force and lessen the wear, but are made from Zinc coated spring steel. CSK washers are knockoffs, made from stainless steel and are cheaper. I’m building an RV-14A and can report that the CSK washers fit the fiberglass countersunk holes and 100° flat head screws perfectly (countersink only enough to fit the screw) and are low profile – so shouldn’t cause too much drag. I haven’t attempted to countersink the whole washer, which would weaken the fiberglass. So basically when using these washers you trade less wear & tear maintenance for some loss in speed – how much I’ll report in a year’s time. But having just spent more than 3+ full time weeks attaching the wheel pants and transitional fairings to my RV-14 (who knew there was so much fiberglass work on an aluminum airplane), I can tell you I never want to do fiberglass work again – my skin still itches and I’m still coughing – despite wearing protective gowns & particulate masks. Synergy Air builds Vans Aircraft professionally & recommended that I use these washers.

These are not the decorative CSK washers that Im use to seeing on expensive airplanes. These seem too thin and are a different grade of stainless steel. Youll likely need to change all IOT match.
