I ordered this and the door and baggage compartment locks would not work, so I sent them back. Still investigating the ignition switch because of my ignition is a shower of spark ignition. The documentation on this is poor. It says that the switch is PMAd but the door locks are not. It also says this product is appropriate for a Cessna 182Q. The switch is, but the door locks do NOT have the right lever arms. A 182Q has arms with hooks, this product does NOT.

Very nice ignition switch. Replaced original switch in my Beech 35-B33 perfectly. Door lock was somewhat an ordeal, but was able to make work with modifications.

The ign switch is excellent. Relatively easy to install. The door and baggage door lock arms didn’t work at all we had to fabricate new arms. After that every thing worked fine and at less than 1/2 the price of the OEM parts.

Used on 172M. The ignition switch is 5 stars, machined, not die-cast body. If the contacts ever wear, its rebuildable with a cheap kit from ACS. The cylinders fit the holes in the baggage and pilots door, but the cams(what some call lever arms) are flat, straight generic ones. I bought several generic National brand cams from my locksmith for fabricating new cams. The baggage lock required a longer cam with a finger welded on the end at about 120 degrees. The pilots door cam needed a dogleg offset toward the door skin. Double-cut key blank is Ilco X132.

Switch well made, clearly higher quality locking mechanism than original. The extra locks that are supposed to be replacements for the luggage and left-side door require a bit of effort to adapt. I was successful in the end and am glad for the purchase. The trick is to attach the arm from the original locks to the new locks arm. I did so with a couple of #6 machine screws after drilling and taping the new locks arm. The original locks arm will have to be shortened a bit as well. Works fine, but did take a few hours of tinkering.

Mag switch is a perfect match for the original. No issues with install. Door locks have very different locking arms than the original. They required cutting and welding. Easily done with a hacksaw and TIG welder.

Like a previous review, the door locks DO NOT work for Cessna 172. Ignition switch itself is fine. Now we have to have an addition key, ignition and doors.

Nice easy installation on the ignition switch. I have a PA-28-201T and I noticed that both door latches needed a modification to make them work. Satisfied but not fully.

The ignition switch is well built and good quality but the door locks will not latch. The latching mech. is to short to make contact. I had to buy a second lock/latching mech. then modify it to make it fit.

Ignition switch was OK. The door and cargo latch’s needed extensive remodeling to get them to work. If I had known that I would never ordered the package. The addition of an optional part to fit the Cessna locks would solve the problem.

These door locks dont work with Cessna, the ignition switch itself is great, but buy door locks from Cessna! I called ACS, they confirmed this.

The lock is fine but the included latch dog leg that attaches to the lock will not work on the Cessna 182Q and the original latch dog leg can not be reused because of different attaching details. The ignition switch was well made and worked great. Easier to have two keys rather than changing locks so you only need one.

Only the ignition switch is FAA certified for type certificated aircraft. The locks are generic and not specifically designed for any particular aircraft. They were incompatible with my Cessna 172P which requires a 180 degree turning lock for the door and 90 degree turning lock for the baggage door. Had to return the switch and door lock set to Aircraft Spruce. I give Aircraft Spruce an A+ for the way they handled the issue and return.
