This, Data, plate, for certified, airplanes, is the ONLY type thats approved, The FARs, require Steel, or Stainless Steel, of which, this one is. I have seen, aluminum, dymo lables, Brother lables, all of which, Are NOT airworthy, so yes, Very Glad, aircraft spruce carries, this CORRECT style plates.

The forward, left edge black paint is blowing off from the wind, leaving bare metal exposed. Its not done yet either. The edges are raised, and Im afraid every time I fly itll just peel back a little more each time. Looks like they didnt prime it correctly - its just not adhering to the metal. Laser shop for the engraving ($20), then drilling and riveting, then failure.

No, this particular nameplate cannot be engraved by us. The easiest place to take it to engrave would be a local trophy shop. If you would like it special order engraved, part number 09-00447 (factory built a/c) and 09-40000 (experimental a/c) would be your best bet.
The dimensions for this Aircraft ID Tag are approximately 3" Length x 2" Height. This particular nameplate cannot be engraved by us.
