Q: Is a manufacturing certificate of conformance (C of C) available for this Aersohell 41 Hydraulic Fluid?

No, there is no C of C available. The only certification that is available is the manufacturers Certificate of Analysis (C of A). It must be requested at the time of order via the "Special Instructions" box.

Q: Would it be possible for you to issue COC if we pay the charge?

There is NO Certificate of Conformance available for this product. Only Certificate of Analysis can be obtained and must be requested at time of order.

Q: Can this be used as brake fluid on an FAA certified aircraft or an experimental? It looks like transmission oil in the reservoir now. I was told by one A&P that it is hydraulic oil. Not brake fluid as in DOT 3, 4, or 5 in a car.

This is Aeroshell 41 fluid, and meets Mil-5606H requirements, which is the most commonly used hydraulic fluid used in GA brake systems. Refer to your aircraft maintenance manual to verify the fluid the OEM recommends.

Q: Is Aeroshell 41 Hydraulic Fluid considered Hazmat for shipping?

No, this material is not considered hazardous.

Q: Is there a published shelf life for this Aeroshell 41 fluid?

The Aeroshell re-test time is 3 years for the Aeroshell 41 fluid.

Q: What is the H designation in the MIL spec? I am looking for MIL-PRF-5606.....is this the same?

The H is the specification revision. H is the most current revision.

Q: What is the difference between 5606 H and 5606 A?

The H will mean rev. H and the A means that it has been opened and caned down to a smaller container.

Q: What is the shelf life of aeroshell fluid 41 MIL-PRF-5606J?

Shelf life is 3 years.

Q: What the difference between H and J?

It is just the revision of the mil spec.
