Overview

American-made structural aircraft-grade plywood is made of American Birch veneers laminated in a hot press to hardwood cores of Poplar or Bass wood with waterproof glue. Will meet all requirements of specification MIL-P-6070, which calls for shear testing after immersion in boiling water for 3 hours. Far superior to many plywoods in which all plies are 1/16 inch thick and laminated in a cold press to make up the total thickness. Tests should be made on cold press plywoods before use on aerobatic aircraft. Available in 45° and 90°

The birch plywood was shipped in error for what should have been mahogany plywood that was not shipped in a prior order. I have spoken with Aircraft Spruce and have received the Mahogany plywood. Thank you. This is not the first issue I have had and though Aircraft Spruce is very good about correcting mistakes, I would appreciate if they could be better with their quality control on the first pass.

On both pieces I bought, two corners on each were broken and smashed. I took pictures in case you would like to see them. Just email and Ill send them. The smashed parts are probably 3/4 by 1.5 wide. Since I needed them exactly 48, I will have to more work to remove the smashed area and then replace it, touch it up with wood filler or something.

The 1/4" is made with 5 plies.

Q: Can 2x8 cuts of plywood be shipped by UPS or other low-cost way (to avoid freight shipment)?

No, the max for UPS ground is 2x4 cuts.

Q: Would you happen to know how many ply your Domestic 1/8 Birch Plywood is (02-24520)?

The 1/8" domestic Birch Plywood is 3 ply material.

Q: Can be used for structural parts ( spars)?

That is difficult to answer, it really depends on what your plans call for and what the application is.
