JPI option EDM carb temperature probe, 1/4-24 thread 400128. |
Sensor was easy to install and no issues with the quality. I did have to do some digging on what the torque specifications were for the fitting into the carburetor that should of been included in the instruction sheet, thus the 4 star rating. There is a problem with the item description. The thread size is posted as a 1/4 - 24 and in reality it is a 1/4 - 28. The carburetor on my 182 is a Marvin - Schebler MA-4-5 and I confirmed this thread size with them. I also contacted JPI and the technician looked at his specifications and said that the sheet showed a 1/4 -24, but it had been scratched out with 1/4 - 28. I think it would be worth you time to contact JPI and get this straightened out. Who knows, you may be losing sales because of this error.
