This push to talk switch works well. It has a sturdy feel and has a definitive point that I can tell it is compressed and that I am able to communicate. No issues.
I have tried several of these push to talk switches. Non of them have seemed to work very well, or lasted long. This particular one has a very positive feel to it, and you dont have to push it hard to get it to work. So for its the best I have tried!!
Worked great have it in sport plane (KF) with hand held radio
Very fast delivery
DOA. As others have stated this does not work with my two DC and Bose headsets. Female PTT receiver doesnt positively engage with the male headset jack.
AVCOMM DELUXE PTT SWITCH
PTT does NOT work with Bose A20 nor Lightspeed Zulu headsets. Tried 3 headsets (1 Bose, 2 different Zulu models) and with all 3 the male end of the headset mic cord does not positively engage the female end of the PTT mic cord. The PTT male end (which plugs into the panel) is visibly a different size than the male end of the 3 headsets I tried with the PTT. All 3 headset mics work correctly in the same panel. The result is that the PTT breaks squelch but since the connection between the headset and PTT is so loose, no transmission broadcast. It is thus useless to me as a PTT.
Product worthless. Arrived DOA. Doesnt work at all.

Portable style PTT switches such as the Avcomm (11-02287) are designed to work with portable intercoms. If you have a panel mounted radio or intercom you will typically need a stick mounted PTT switch. Remote PTT switches are not made to be plugged directly into headsets.
Yes, they are.
