An ultra lightweight corrosion-inhibiting filler for aircraft, marine, and automotive use. Adheres to composites, bare aluminum, steel, and bare or varnished wood.
Epoxy resin with non-MDA hardener. Ships non-hazardous. Apply EP-420 Epoxy Primer directly over SuperFil. Superfil is an ultra-lightweight epoxy filler for rough fill and contouring. Comes in two containers. Mix, apply with a squeegee, and let dry overnight. More consistent than hand-mixed micros. Weighs only 3.8 lbs. per gallon. 1 Quart Kit (12 oz. Hardener + 20 oz. Features
- Composite Filling:
- Use as you would an epoxy micro slurry. Mix by the weight for the best results. Scuff-sand smooth surfaces before application. Trowel or squeegee to desired thickness. After drying, sand to shape and finish. Works as an excellent filled material.
- Bare Aluminum:
- Scruff surface with a Scotch-Brite pad. Treat bare aluminum with E-2300 Conversion Coating prior to application. Apply EP-420 Primer directly over dried SuperFill.
- Bare Steel:
- Clean off all rust and oil, and wipe with C-2200 Meti-Sol.
- Varnished or Bare Wood:
- Scuff-sand and clean as necessary. EV-400 Epoxy Varnish may be applied directly over SuperFill.
Specifications
- By Weight (preferred): 2 parts A to 1 part B
- By Volume: 2 parts A to 1 part B.
- Thoroughly stir each individual container of part A and part B before combining. Resin or hardener can separate from fillers during storage. After combining parts A and B scape the sides of the Revision on 21 mixing container to insure a through blend. Mix o a consistent high color blue color.
- Cure: Allow to cure at 70° or above for best results. Lower temperatures will lengthen the cure time
- Dry Film Cure: 8 hours at 77°
- Cure to Sand: 12 hours at 77°
- Pot Life: One hour at 77°
- Clean Up: MEK before curing occurs
- Shelf Life: Twi years unopened. Avoid storage above 100°. Resin will separate from filler during storage. Remix thoroughly.

This is a great filler for small gapping on irregular cuts. Takes press off exact fits on complex trim pieces such as veneer patches receiving paint. Sands easy enough to limit overworking the product at application. Get it close but not flawless. All seemed fine when I picked up this item at Corona store. I didnt realize there was a problem until I unpacked and opened the jars for use. I then realized the part B jar, the smaller one, had clear resin (a small amount) leaking out the cap of the jar. Apparently it had separated from the mixture while stored and the cap was not tight. It was quite a mess to clean up, but once thoroughly mixed again it works as advertised. It is certainly quicker and easier than mixing micro the traditional way.

Superfil is an epoxy base material and will not shrink or crack over time like polyester base fillers. The manufacturer does not list a max depth.
This is an epoxy base filler and adheres to many surfaces, but a slightly abraded surface is recommended for the best bond.
No, it is not necessary to remove the paint. Just be aware the Super-Fil will stick to the paint, so if the paint chips off the structure, so will the Super-Fil on it.
